Group Members:
Jason Fowler/guitars and vocals
Brooks Wilson/guitars
Brent Wilson/bass guitar
Chad Fowler/drums
Currently, Ultraphonic is in the studio self-producing and recording a new album to be released sometime in Spring '08.
Prior Ultraphonic albums include:
'Fligh' - This debut album was self-produced, recorded and mixed by the band at their own studio in McDonough Georgia. It was following the release of this album that live performances began to rapidly build the groups fanbase in the Atlanta area.
'Ultraphonic' - This album was co-produced by Ultraphonic and Bryan Holmes(drummer for 80's power-pop group 'The Producers') and recorded at various studios around Atlanta . With the release of this album and following performances the fan base continued to grow. Ultraphonic was chosen to headline the Atlantis Music Conference two years in a row and also to perform on the 99X 'Locals Only' stage at Atlanta Midtown Music Festival.
'Impressions' - Again working with producer Bryan Holmes, this album was recorded in various studios around Atlanta. The group entered five unmastered songs from this album in a music competition on Garageband.com. Out of 48,000 songs entered in the competition from 16,000 various artists, Ultraphonics song 'Our World' took first prize: a $250K recording contract. The four other songs entered: 'Chosen', 'Knocked Down', 'Sweet Love', and 'Been Waitin' finished in the Top 30. Garageband loved the Impressions album but wanted the group to record yet another album with one of its own staff producers. Impressions has yet to be "officially' released.
'Reasons' - This album was co-produced by Ultraphonic and Garageband staff-producer Johnny Sandlin (Bass player and producer for The Allman Brothers Band). Tracking was done at Muscle Shoals Sound Studios in Alabama on 2-inch tape and then mixed at Tree Studios in Atlanta. The song 'Reasons', featuring bass player Will Turpin of Collective Soul on piano, was selected to be the first single off the album. Soon after completion, Garageband folded as a label. But Ultraphonic got a free album out of the deal! 'Reasons' has yet to be "officially" released.
